Do you have a printed catalog?
No, we do not print a catalog. Because our selection is so unique and availability changes so quickly, a printed catalog would be inefficient.  We’ll be keeping a close eye out for the most popular merchandise, and promise to stock these items as best as we can. If you’re looking for something special, please e-mail us and we’ll let you know how we can help you.

What forms of payment do you accept? 

We use Paypal's secure payment system.  Customers don't need  a Paypal account, and submit their favorite credit card information through this secure payment system.  We will also accept Certified Cheques and Money Orders by mail.  Your order will not be filled or shipped until your credit card is approved and/or your check has cleared our bank. Your credit card will only be charged if and when the item you ordered is ready to ship. DO NOT SEND CASH. Your billing address MUST EXACTLY MATCH the name and spelling on your credit card, you must also provide us with a working daytime telephone number for verification. This site has secure transaction processing through Paypal Shopping so your credit information can be transferred safely.

How long does it take to ship an order?
We currently ship twice a week, and strive to fill orders within 3 business days. You will be notified if your order needs a longer time to fill. If we cannot completely fill your order, we will attempt to notify you by e-mail, and will offer to ship what we have. Please watch your email for several days after you order and respond promptly to let us know how you desire your order be handled in the event it cannot be completely filled. We may be holding your shipment while we seek clarification so a fast reply from you will get things flowing again.  How do you determine your shipping charges?

We have chosen to ship with Canada Post, for quick service at the most reasonable cost.  Our shipping charges reflect the Canada Post rate plus the cost of shipping materials.  We DO NOT attempt to make any profit on shipping. 

What is your return policy?
You may return an item in it's original condition. It must be postmarked for return within 15 days of our outbound ship date and include your receipt. Shipping charges are not refundable, inbound or outbound. The Art of Music reserves the right to refuse any item for return that appears to have been used, was purchased fraudulently or is not returned within the specified time. E-mail or call us if you need further clarification.

Do you sell wholesale?
We are currently a retail operation only.

Do you offer quantity or trade discounts ?
Yes.  We may be able to extend a discount when items are purchased in large (multiple) quantities: IE: More than a dozen identical items. These discounts vary by item and manufacturer. If we can get a discount, we will be happy to pass it along to you. Please write us at notes@theartofmusic.ca with your specific needs, price parameters, time line and shipping location. We may also be able to make suggestions of other items to consider.  Please allow plenty of lead time, as  larger quantities are not likely to be in stock.

Can I submit MUSICALLY themed merchandise or art for sale through you?
The Art of Music would be delighted to consider your work. We accept photos of artwork by e-mail and regular mail.  DO NOT SEND ORIGINAL ART.  You may send submission packets for art that include color copies, reproductions, photos or slides, price lists and biographical information about the artist.  This package will not be returned, so please don’t feel you need to spend a lot to impress.  If we are interested, we may then ask you for further details and/or samples.  Please mail ALL of the above to The Art of Music,  co 902 Tanguay Court, Ottawa Ontario K2L 3X4.  Attn.: Director.
